Upsellit and Splits59: Solving Stagnant Growth with Real-Time Personalisation

Entrants: Upsellit
Partners: Splits59

The Challenge

Splits59, a Los Angeles-based activewear brand, was working with a provider whose strategy relied on static, one-size-fits-all on-site campaigns. These fixed experiences failed to adapt to shopper behaviour, resulting in diminishing performance and limited scope for optimisation. The challenge was to modernise on-site conversion without compromising the premium brand experience Splits59’s digitally fluent customers expected.

The Strategy

Upsellit replaced the static approach with dynamic personalisation built around real-time signals, determining when, how, and to whom on-site experiences should be delivered based on actual shopper intent rather than pre-set messaging. The partnership focused on close collaboration between the teams to align engagement strategy to the customer journey, ensuring that messaging evolved with each stage of the shopper’s behaviour rather than delivering a fixed prompt regardless of context.

The Work

Through an adaptive, audience-driven execution model, the partnership developed on-site experiences that responded to individual shopper signals in real time. The teams worked together closely to validate performance, with a joined-up approach to implementation that gave both sides clear visibility into what was working and why. The partnership was structured to deliver both short-term conversion gains and a long-term optimisation foundation.

Results

The partnership drove an average conversion lift of 21%, with sustained improvement in engagement quality and long-term performance. By replacing static tactics with adaptive, real-time personalisation, Splits59 resolved a core conversion challenge while protecting the integrity of its premium brand experience.

The Judges’ Verdict

Judges praised the clarity with which the problem was defined and the thoroughness of the solution, highlighting the detailed exploration of each implementation step and the clear evidence of genuine collaboration between the teams. The fact that the partnership delivered both immediate results and a foundation for continued improvement was noted as a mark of quality. A well-structured and convincing entry.

“The outline of the problem is clear, with strongly defined performance targets. Exceeded targets across the board with insight into not only how the partnership delivered on short-term gains but also set the stage for long-term impact.”
