The Recipe for Success: KitchenAid & Couponology’s Strategic Alignment

Entrants: Couponology
Partners: KitchenAid Small Appliances

The Challenge

The partnership between KitchenAid Small Appliances and Couponology had delivered modest results in its first year, totalling $21,000 in sales. Both parties recognised that the initial model had not unlocked the potential of the brand or the partnership, and that a more ambitious, high-accountability approach was needed to drive meaningful growth.

The Strategy

The transformation centred on two critical shifts. KitchenAid secured brand exclusivity through unique promotional codes and a competitive 8% CPA, giving the partnership clear boundaries and commercial discipline. Couponology deployed a fully funded, targeted Meta Ads strategy to amplify reach. This alignment of incentives gave both parties genuine skin in the game and removed the ceiling that a standard affiliate relationship would have imposed.

The Work

The unique promotional code structure ensured brand protection and attribution integrity throughout the campaign. The publisher-funded Meta Ads approach allowed Couponology to invest in reach without requiring KitchenAid to increase its own media spend, creating a model where growth was self-funding. The concentrated campaign window of ten weeks allowed the partnership to build momentum quickly and deliver results within a defined and measurable timeframe.

Results

In a ten-week window from October to December 2025, the partnership generated over $680,000 in sales, achieving a 170:1 return on ad spend on a $3,900 media investment. This represented a 3,100% year-on-year increase from the previous partnership results.

The Judges' Verdict

Judges praised the strategic pivot at the heart of this entry, highlighting the decision to trade safe targets for a high-accountability performance model as the move that unlocked the campaign's exceptional returns. The publisher-funded media approach was cited as a standout example of genuine risk-sharing, and the ROAS figures were acknowledged as exceptional. A compelling demonstration of what a performance-driven partnership can achieve when both sides are fully aligned.

"A highly efficient, performance-led campaign. The 170:1 ROAS on publisher-funded media is a standout metric that demonstrates excellent skin in the game."
